Blog 8: Summer Plans

Hi! Welcome again to my blog! c:

Today I'll write about my future plans for summer break. 
Me and my mother are currently thinking about travelling to Lisbon, Portugal and wander around the country and Southwestern Europe (Portugal, Spain, etc.) It is going to be really cold though, since it’ll be winter in there, and with global warming things are getting really chilly. (ha, ha) Now I think about it, I would definitely like to go to Germany and Austria. But since I’m ending the semester on January 17^th, maybe things will change.

For summer I would really like to go visit my mom, who’s currently here but she now lives in LA. I think though she idealizes very much the American culture in opposition to our culture, the Chilean culture. Of course in Chile things are very different and work really bad in a lot of aspects compared to the system in USA, but they also have a whole lotta trouble.

In that case, go on a backpacking trip seems like a really good option. The “Norte Grande”, Peru and Bolivia are places I’m very interested in, and if I do travel there I could take a lot of pictures. Also, the Región de Los Lagos it’s always a beautiful destination to spend a few weeks disconnected of the real world. Maybe though, none of this are going to be 100% possible as I would be working in my internship at the AFECh (Archivo de la Federación de Estudiantes de la Universidad de Chile) which ends in January, but I will probably still have work to do.}
