Blog 7: My Music Taste

Hi everyone! Hope you’re doing great!

Today i’m gonna write about my music taste. First of all, i think in order to talking about music, I have to say i’ve had a relationship with music since i was very little, ‘cause in my school we all had to learn to play the flute from first grade to fourth grade of preparatory. And then each student would have to choose his or hers own instrument: I choose violin, and i played it for 6 years, approximately.

But, surprisingly, it wasn’t until a few years later i started to cultivate a music taste, and that was when i started regularly listening to music. I remember being in my student exchange in Seattle, back then in summer 2014, and we where making a little road trip with Cheyton, my exchange, and a few friends of his. He had really good headphones that i tried with MGMT’s “Electric Feel”, and it was really magical to listening that song next to a lake and mountains with forests. If i had to say when i really started listening music, this moment would be the milestone.

My favorite band is Daft Punk, and i think “Something About Us” might be my favorite song of all. I have a really great mixture in music taste doe, going from African american Jazz, like John Coltrane and Paganini’s “The Four Seasons”; to contemporay Rock & Roll like Arctic Monkeys and Latin American Pop Music, like Alex Andwandter, whom i think i’ts a really great composser and singer.
