Blog 5: My future job

Hi Everyone! Welcome to a new entry to my blog.

Today I’m gonna’ write about my dream job, which is being either a wild life photographer or cameraman, working for National Geographic or BBC, respectively. My goal is to one day be recognized worldwide as a wildlife photographer and documentarian, but I’d also really like to be a “war correspondent” in the Región de la Araucania, covering the badly so-called “Conflicto Mapuche”. Since the conflict has nothing to do with the Mapuche, but with the State of Chile and it’s sistematic political and ethnical cleansing.

I believe covering stories like this, from the documentarian perspective, has a lot to give in the way of mutual understanding of problems that sometimes feel really far away but are only at one’s doorsteps. On this topic, Latin America it’s currently drawing itself as a really good territory to practice the office of photojournalism, considering the current historical scenario that is taking place, with a lot of their countries in deep political and social crisis, like Argentina or Brasil.

I don’t really care much about how much money i’d earn working in this office, as long as i can sustain myself in my basic needs. What i really care is to do what i love making a faithful and decent portrait of the world we live in.

That’d be all for today! Hope you’ve liked it. c:
